I have replaced the previous table structures with a grid system based on the YUI model (see screenshot). If you are updating make sure you include relevant theme changes here.
I am very grateful for all the good work moodlers do - but I don't understand why there is no tradition for exact installation instructions.
The documentation says:
The following can be added to your theme and customised to control the layout of the modules. Although you can place this in any CSS file used by your theme, it may be helpful to create an ilp.css file and include this via your theme's config.php to make management and upgrades easier.
But it does not say how to include the ils.css file through a theme's config.php. I use formalwhite - and there is no hook for extra .css files in the config.php.
In stead the config file tells me that it will look in all module folders for a file called styles.php and include it.
So please, can anyone give me the exact instructions for adding ils layouts to my theme?
we are thinking about using your PLP module to share our children targets with our parents. We want the plp layout to look exactly like the oliver twist example or other examples in your site ie with tables. I even copied the example codes and saved it as custom.css and put it in the same folder where ilp.css is. I also changed the config.php line ($theme->......) but in vain. It made no difference. Do i need to modify the view.php file? if yes then how can i do that?
the ilp with boxes is really cool but i don't know how can i have them.
For your refernce, there is a snapshot of our plp.
Would really like some help with this too!
I have copied across the css file and images into the Theme folder of the ILP, but am stuck from this point on.
I also copied $THEME->sheets = array('custom', 'ilp'); into config.php but don't understand what I need to change 'custom' too (we are using a theme based around Aardvark Pro).
All I really want to do is add some boxes to the Targets and also change the size of the font in places.
This is what it currently looks like:
Not very exciting!
Hope you can help!
Have you tried 'Ctrl+F5' to refresh cached theme CSS. This is peculiar to your installation as others do not have this. You should have YUI grid styles in your CSS and should replace previous versions.
This will actually be resolved shortly with the latest release where themes are self-contained. Try dropping the attached file into the /blocks/ilp/ folder and then deleting the CSS altogether and removing it from the config.
You should only need to update this when you are changing the default settings.
Thanks for this. However, this is where my knowledge falls flat:
"and then deleting the CSS altogether and removing it from the config."
Can you expand on this? CSS from where, and what aspect of the config file? I tried editing the config file before and the whole site went wonky.
Thanks for your help
*EDIT* Sorted! I just deleted the css file and added the php file - funnily enough, just as you suggested! ;)
