This is a new activity module, Simple Certificate,which no needs to change any code to add a new certificate format, and moodle's administrator don't need to upload image files. The certificate text are full customizable, using special text marks that will be replaced by variables (like student name, course name, grade, ...), don't need to change any translation file.

This is a new activity module, Simple Certificate, based on certificate module maintained by Mark Nelson, but simpler, no needs to change any code to add a new certificate format, and moodle's administrator don't need to upload image files.
The certificate text are full customizable, using special text marks that will be replaced by variables (like student name, course name, grade, ...), don't need to change any language file.

    After using Simple Certificate successfully for years, it started acting up with the username not working. I added firstname lastname and it worked for a while, but now it's only adding my full name and not the participants' names. Any suggestions?

    Certainly, but I am not a Moodle programmer.
    I think you just need to insert the code for the user profile image.
    But this might just be an avatar instead of a real picture.
    Ask the question on the Moodle forums and surely someone will answer.
    Then you can embed the code in your text.

    Yes, you add {TEACHERS} in your certificate.

    Olá, bom dia. Primeiramente agradeço por disponibilizar seu tempo e conhecimento para desenvolver um módulo tão útil e simples de usar. Gostaria de pedir uma informação e uma ajuda. Aqui na minha aplicação, tenho uma instancia do simplecertificate configurado com a data de conclusão {DATE} pegando a data de conclusão de uma atividade. Ok. Até aí tudo certo. Porém algo estranho acontece quando o aluno cancela sua inscrição do curso. Seu certificado continua existindo, o que está correto, contudo a data {DATE} do certificado passa a ser sempre a data atual mesmo constando na base de dados o ‘timecreated’ com o UNIXTIME correto (data de conclusão da atividade definida no modelo do certificado). O que pode estar acontecendo? Desde já agradeço.

    BTW, Simple Certificate also works on Moodle 4. 01.

    Sou Analista de Sistemas da Secretaria de Saúde do Estado de Santa Catarina, no setor da ESPSC Virtual (Escola de Saúde Pública), Tudo bem?
    Nós usamos o Simple Certificate para a emissão dos certificados ao final dos cursos. Devido a uma solicitação da Diretoria, atualizamos o nosso Moodle para a versão 4.0.3+ e agora não há como adicionar seu plugin em nossa plataforma. Há previsão de uma nova versão? Aguardamos ansiosamente pelo retorno.
