Warning!  This plugin has been phased out. Use BigBlueButtonBN for creating "Only recordings" instances that will provide you with same view that this plugin does.

This recordingsbn module works with the bigbluebuttonbn module to let you view and manage your BigBlueButton recordings within a course.

This module lets you give students access to the recordings, publish/unpublish recordings, and delete the recordings.

To use recordingsbn, install it alongside bigbluebuttonbn.

In short: the bigbluebuttonbn module lets you create BigBlueButton sessions from within your course, recordingsbn lets you view and manage the BigBlueButton recordings from within your course.

    Hi James,
Can you open a thread in the forums. That would be the best place for inquiries like this because solving a issue can take a number of messages. This place is supposed to be for generic comments about the plugin.

When you open the thread please follow this recommendations (that are part of the plugin description):

    Dear Jesus,

Thank you very much for your efforts developing this plugin. I am having issues to hide/unpublish individual recordings. Could you kindly take a look at this thread:

Hi Mauammad -- the recording is a synchronized playback of HTML5 content using popcorn.js. It's not possible to download as a video.

    Hi,
I have installed this RecordingsBN module in my moodle 3.0.2 site, and a BBB 1.0 beta server.
It connects perfectly (by the way the new feature to preload the presentation is GREAT!!!), lists and plays the recordings without any issue.
The only trouble I'm facing is that it's impossible to delete or hide the undesired recordings. I have tryed as super administration with same results. The only way I have found to solve this at this moment is deleting the published recording in the BBB server.
Is anybody else facing this issue?
    Regards,
    German Acevedo

I stumbled upon another issue with RecordingsBN. See this thread:

[BBB] RecordingsBN uses internal IP address instead of domain

    Thanks, for a great plugin
By any chance do you have on your roadmap the feature to Edit the "Activity" and "Description" of the recordings

    Hi Guadalupe Camorlinga,
Indeed, it is. Although I don;t think this will be part of the very next release. You can vote the features here: https://goo.gl/U96Njl

Hi Ricardo, thanks for your interest. I noticed you have been asking for updates for this plugin for some other versions over the time. Just a couple of things.

    1. Unless you have a particular issue with the current version (it applies to any plugin!), it is safe to install it in the most recent version of Moodle. In most cases plugins will work with no hickups. This case is not an exception.

    2. For this particular plugin though, there is no point on installing it unless you want to see the warning message or migrating your instances using the script. This plugin was phased out when BigBlueButtonBN v2.2 was released. As stated in the description, you can use BigBlueButtonBN for creating instances that show only recordings.

If "This plugin has been phased out ..." i think you must change the AMOS modulename_help | bigbluebuttonbn:
"... To view later recordings, add a RecordingsBN resource to this course."
Thanks for the plugin. It's only a sugestion.

"Phased out" Does it mean I can use BigBlueButtonBN to record + view my recordings in BBB-2.2?
