I would like my students to be able to see easily what work needs to be submitted, and what has been done so far, ata glance. I know they can look on their activity report but this does not say what HAS to be submitted - it is just a list of everything on the course.
Is there a nice way of having a screen - a bit like a checklist - that also tells them what has been finished so far?

I agree that this is a need in Moodle - the activity screen is excellent in its details but the assessed work is buried in all the other stuff. The FNMoodle port has this feature which is so useful.
