The latest version of Adaptable for M3.6+ has been re-written to use Boost as a parent theme.
If you are upgrading the theme on an existing site be sure to test before applying to your live site.

Support thread for version 2.2.X can be found here.

Adaptable is a highly customisable responsive two column theme with an abundance of features. The concept behind adaptable is to have a common theme developed and tested by a community of users which can be branded and configured according to each organisations needs. The freedom to brand and customise whilst sharing the burden of testing and development.

In addition many fields (menus, news items, alerts and help links) can be targeted using custom profile fields, thus it is possible to present different users with different navigation items and notices.

It is also possible for individual users to customise where they want top menu navigation to appear (disable, home pages only, site wide) using custom profile fields.

Adaptable has a lot of settings and may seem daunting at first, our advice is to simply install with the default settings and play with it afterwards.

With a little time you should be able to set up an attractive Moodle site with a high degree of individuality without without knowing any CSS.

Documentation coming soon.

    Firstly I love the Adaptable theme, and use it on many sites. I have however noticed something that is minor but significant to us. Within a bulleted list, if a particular line of text within a single bullet wraps onto multiple lines, the spacing between these lines is larger than normal. I would like the spacing within each bullet to be the same as normal paragraph text. Is there some CSS I can add to change this? I am on Moodle 3.4.8 with Adaptable theme 1.7.3, thanks in advance.

    Hi, every time when I look at this themes Homepage, it is on maintenance. My problem: I have Moodle 3.7 and Adaptable for that. Switching of layout, Blocks to Left side does not work! Whatever I set, Blocks remain on right side! Whats wrong?

    Hello dear developers,
    Straight to the point, custom favicon has a little bug, that it would be good to fix on your next update.
    The file is: renderers.php
    Line: 290
    Instead of returning:
    new moodle_url($this->page->theme->setting_file_url('favicon', 'favicon')) ;
    you need to return:
    $this->page->theme->setting_file_url('favicon', 'favicon');
    otherwise you are return the site url twice.
    Fantastic Theme! Thank you for your contribution to the Moodle community!

    I have upgraded to version 3.8 and everything went good. However, when I log in to my site there are some controls ain't working, like the activate edition (gear icon) on main menu and the first row where is located message and notification icons. I can't also log out from my account, it looks like the arrow next to my name and picture is not also working, so there is no way I can log out properly. Thank you.

    É possível alterar a cor da barra de navegação (main-navbar)?
    Aproveitando a oportunidade, também seria possível alterar os ícones (página inicial, painel, cursos, etc)

    Is it possible to separate the font color settings for the Block Header text and the Block pull down menus? In my design the block header is white on a dark background,, that means the block pull down menus are are also white, so we can't see their words.
