Allows you to set up crosswords as a fun learning activity (either in a quiz or perhaps using the Embed question filter to place it in learning content).

Should support any alphabet that is in Unicode.

Has the ability to give partial grades if the answers have accented characters, and the answer is correct apart from the accents.

Clues (and feedback for each clue) can contain any content that you can add to Moodle, for example images, audio or video.

It is not very useful, the words are not arranged automatically, it has to be done manually and it can be very confusing.

Hi @Sofia. At the OU, our academic teams hand over crosswords as tables in Word/Excel, so automating a word list layout wasn't a top priority for us - rather it was to partially grade European words that don't quite have the correct accented character. I would like to say that we will get around to adding a word list auto-layout generator this year, but it's going to be towards the end of 2024. Of course, if anyone wants to contribute this feature before then, we'd be very glad to discuss it with them smile

Hi, how can I uninstall this plug-in? There is no Uninstall option in my Plug-in overview section.

Question types can only be uninstalled if you have not questions of that type in your system. You need to find all questions of this type (using Admin -> Reports -> Question instances), delete them, and then you will be able to uninstall this plugin.

    HI
This looks a great plugin, students love games. Does this support moodle 4.5? We don't use it currently. If it does, please can you update the supported version number so it will auto install when we update.
Also, will you be supporting moodle 5 going forward with this extension?

@Al Metcalfe. An update is forthcoming. We have a *ton* of OU plugins as you might be aware. To save staff time we've been looking at automating as much of the process as possible, but that of course has meant working on that rather than updating plugins! The new tool is being tested at the moment.
