How it works
Sticky Notes is an easy-to-use activity to build a post-it wall for your collaborative brainstorming, pedagogic uses, ranking, meeting, ideas organization...Create, update and move sticky notes in different columns as a kanban, change background color and vote for sticky notes as you wish !
Features
When creating an activity, teacher can define which background colors will be used between the 6 default colors, and add a meaning/caption for each color if necessary. Teachers can edit any notes, while users updates only their own notes.
Teacher can also enable or define :
- number of notes per user
- number of votes per user if enabled
- enable the rotate effect for notes for accessibility
- view authors (only for teachers)
- students see only their notes or all
- sutdents can move only thier notes or all
- create, update, delete and move his own notes
- vote for notes if enabled
- move his notes, or all if enabled
How to move notes
Yo can move notes in the same column or between columns in two ways :
- you can use update interface,
- you can also move notes using drag and drop. Click on a note and move it with your mouse to its new place. Drag and drop also works on smartphones or tablets.
Teacher can choose if students can move only their notes to limit modifications, or if they can move any notes in activity as a real collaborative activity.
Settings
In global settings, you can set 6 colors that will be used for sticky notes backgrounds, and give each color its own signification. Admin will set the 6 colors availables for all activities. Default colors are set in plugin global parameters, and have been chosen to respect accessibililty for colorblindness.Feature request and bug reports

Many thanks - very much appreciated!

indeed, there's a problem with the backup : I've made a mistake with the table names ! As I'm working on other features, I've made changes to solve this problem, but I didn' uploaded it on Moodle yet. You can download the GitHub version to solve the problem !
Best wishes,
Olivier
Merci
Gilles
Thanks for your lovely plugin.
If possible, we have a suggestion for future releases. Can you please consider making more data available to download? Such as number of likes, which user wrote what, which user liked what, etc. It is a cute, engaging plugin visually & it will be much more powerful when combined with practical data
Sincere Regards
Thanks for your message, I will consider it for my next update. For informations about authors, that reminds me I must first add the privacy API !
Best regards
For spanish translation, please use AMOS : https://lang.moodle.org ! With this tool, you will be able to translate all strings for this plugin. It's very simple : search for Stickynotes plugin, then edit all strings in spanish. Then, spanish translation will be available for all users. Sorry I can't do it my self : my spanish level is... worse than bad ! sourire
Best regards !
Is it possible for the sticky notes to be individualised? ie each user sees a blank and cannot see someone else's notes?
Best Regards
Thanks a lot for such useful plugin. I faced to 2 issues:
1. students can move other students sticky notes
2. students can move teacher sticky notes
(although the move icon is not appear, but student role can move sticky notes of others among columns)
Is it possible to have a move permission for such issue as well as update or delete ot ... issue in permissions for this activity moulde?
Congratulations for the plugin. It is very useful and easy to use for students and teachers!
Are you planning to maintain the plugin for the next Moodle versions?
Dave, Moien, Eurecat : sorry for my very late response ! I will try to work on Sticky Notes in september. I will first study your demands, and I think it will be useful to check better if it works perfectly on next Moodle versions. I will try to maintain it as fast as possible, for I am working on another plugin in the same time.
Stay tuned !
We use Sticky Notes that works great.
But with the Adaptable theme, there is a confilct in CSS : the class .sticky is used by both your plugin and Adaptable theme. We change the occurences of CSS class sticky by stickynote : once in ./amd/src/dragndrop.js (line 37) for consistency, once in dragndrop.min.js, three times in styles.css (lines 4, 50 and 56) and twice in notes_list.mustache (lines 26 and 29). It seems to work. Maybe you could change this in future release
Thanks again for this plugin.
I remember this bug a long time ago, when my university used Adaptable. I'm going to try to fix it thanks to your indications.
I installed StickyNotes and last Adaptable version on a local Moodle, but when I set Adaptable as default theme, I don't see exactly what this classname redundance produce. Would you mind explain me or send capture of class .sticky impact on presentation ?
Thank you !
I succeeded in taking time to finally solve this problem ! I am working on other bugs in the same time. Next update will contain all modifications so students can't move other students (and teacher !) notes.
In the same time, I'm trying to imagine a parameter if teacher wants everybodyu to move all notes... I'll see if it is easy to add.
