Facetoface
Activities ::: mod_facetoface
Maintained by Catalyst IT, Dan Marsden
Face-to-face activities are used to keep track of in-person (e.g. classroom) trainings which require advance booking.
Each activity is offered in one or more identical sessions. These sessions can be given over multiple days.
Reminder messages are sent to users and their managers a few days before the session is scheduled to start. Confirmation messages are sent when users sign-up for a session or cancel.
This module may be of interest to administrators looking for a way to provide event management support for blended learning environments.

What is the extra code in the renderer.php that John Papworth refers to ?
We would like to use facetoface but we are using Moodle 2.8.1 and there are errors during the installation. So I am wandering if/when you are planning to update the plugin? We would really appreciate it.
I'm having an issue with F to F events not appearing on the Calendar. It appears to be random. I'm using a course for students to sign up for a series of in-person sessions. I have 29 F to F instances, each with 3 sessions to choose from. (overload maybe?)
The Calendar display settings for each instance is set for “Course”, so all available sessions show on the Calendar in (Orange), and Sessions that the student “signed-up” for are in (Blue) (viewing as a student). However, not every session that is signed-up for is showing up on the Calendar. The orange, available sessions are there but the blue (signed up for) are inconsistent. In admin view, I can see that the student is signed up - in the respective session's “attendees” list but “some” of the event’s they are signed up for are not appearing.
The settings are identical in all instances. I really need to get this ironed out, do you have any idea why this is happening? Anywhere within the moodle I can look to determine the cause?
Thanks!
Mark

It gives me an error message
Error: Required Moodle version 2014111003
Never seen this before. It seems to be wrongly reporting the Moodle version.

Unfortunately the course/lib.php is so different these days that the references as to where to insert the code don't exist anymore.
I am trying to integrate it with Moodle 2.6.10.
Any guidance you might be able to provide would be most appreciated.
Best regards,
Michael
Strange thing is that this integration information isn't included in the README.txt installation instructions.
Could someone please update the integration document so that it works in each version of Moodle?
Best regards,
Michael
include_once($CFG->dirroot.'/mod/facetoface/lib.php');
That should not only get rid of the error message but actually make it work if your Moodle installation is anywhere but in the root of your webserver.
Stacey, can you please make sure that this gets added to the updated integration instructions as well?
Best regards,
Michael Milette
We are having a small issue with the Facetoface plug in and would like to reach out to you for help.
It appears that a custom field we created isn't getting translated when we switch from English to French.
Any help with this would be really appreciated.
Thank you!
Kristina
Fatal error: Call to undefined function facetoface_instance_created() in "mod/facetoface/classes/observer.php on line 80"
Sounds like it is happening a lot.
Any ideas?
Need it up and running last week and still can't get it to work.
