As its name suggests, the dataform_view block allows the instructor to display in a block a selected dataform view. The flexibility of the dataform views allows for a variety of applications. For instance, with the dataform's Interval view type, the content of the dataform block can be made to change periodically, sequentially or randomly, for purposes such as 'Quote of the Day', 'Weekly news', 'Random pic' etc. With the dataform's Fancybox view, the dataform block may be used to populate to the course page complete photo galleries. Since the content of a view is constrained by user permissions, the dataform block may be used to display on the course page restricted information to user's eyes only.

This plugin is part of set Dataform.

    Hi Itamar,
I just installed the Dataform plugin and it is great, but there are a couple of English language strings which are not available for translation in AMOS and maybe they are hard-wired (declared incorrectly).

These strings are used when adding a new filter: hidden, Group, and/or, AND, OR

If these can be corrected, I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance for a great plugin

Thanks German. I will look into that. For better tracking further issues could be posted in the Dataform tracker component at smile

Thanks you very much! I have no more ideas for creating new plug-ins. In order to find out in what format the search plugin can use the "Dataform view". On my projects games search is already realized with the help of this plugin. I also think this topic will be useful not only for me - perhaps someone else besides me will undertake the creation of new plug-ins. Many thanks for this article.
