https://docs.moodle.org/en/Performance_FAQ is supposed to have this. But somehow insufficient. Worth at least referring to these posts there.

Hi
You must understand that the vast majority of Moodle administrators here work on the Unix/Linux shell. We don't have an idea of your providers "app" system. Since their support team is involved, they can refer to our documentation do the equivalent in their system.
What you have is a https://docs.moodle.org/26/en/Moodle_migration, or rather a special case. Ask the IT people to compare this with what they have been doing. My guess is that they've overlooked "Change your URL" part in the config.php.

A common trick is to reveal the enrollment key to the following course only at the end of the prereq. course. The disadvantage is that the students can share the key!
Hi
Any progress in this? This is a common szenario everybody is interested in.

Hi
You just missed a great opportunity, the Learn Moodle 3.6 Basics course at https://learn.moodle.net/. The next course will be in June 2019.
If you have never been in a Moodle course (well, you're in one, this site moodle.org is a slightly modified Moodle) you can still register and look around in the running course. But to do anything useful it is too late.
