Wildcards in non-calculated questions

Wildcards in non-calculated questions

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to use wildcards in activities different than calculated questions (?)

My goal would be to ask students something like "Try to predict {A}" where {A} is 1 of 3 possible question options (samples/wildcards), for example:

  • your score at entrance exam
  • your score at mid-term exam
  • your score at final exam

Answers would be:

  • Below average
  • Equal to the average
  • Above average

The problem with calculated question is that it has to be formula (expressed as a mathematical equation). And I need specified text answers. Perfect for me would be if I could use wildcards in multiple choice question. But I assume it is not possible (?)

Is there any solution to my problem?

Hello Jacek,

Write three multiple-choice questions, making sure they are in the same question bank category. In a quiz, set a random question ↗ that uses these three questions.
