Adaptable version 1.5.1 is available for downloading in the Moodle plugins directory:

https://moodle.org/plugins/theme_adaptable

This version fix some bugs and small improvements.

You can update your moodle site using the internal updater or downloading and install the theme by FTP.

This version is compatible with moodle 3.2 and 3.3 ONLY.

For a version compatible with older moodle versions (3.1 or previous) download version 1.3.3.1

Hi! In the courses pages, logo header is not visible (logo as 'name site'). How can I change this? I think in the previous version this was not a problem. Thank you!

Please, can you clarify "logo header is not visible (logo as 'name site')"

What is logo as ' name site' ?

OK...I can answer the other questions.

Try adding height and width to the image you added.

For example:

I Use the TinyMCE Editor as this allows you to manipulate the image size as well as add styles in the Advanced setting when you click on the Image icon in the list of tools in the Editor

I need to test this out but it may work.

PS: I got this to work. You also need to make sure the height of the header has enough height for the image plus space below it too.

If you do not understand what I am talking about I can add some images as examples to talk you through the process. OK?

Cheers

Mary

Add this in the Custom CSS box in the Adaptable theme settings

.flex-direction-nav .flex-next  {
    display: none !important;
}

Re: Adaptable: version 1.5.1 released

Perfect! Thank you very much, Mary. That way it is possible to remove the right arrow. To remove the left arrow on the slider, I added this custom css:

.flex-direction-nav .flex-prev {
    display: none !important;
}

Ah...but you only asked for the right one otherwise just add this for both:

.flex-direction-nav {
    display: none !important;
}

That takes out the Flex slider's directional  navigation section alltogether.

Cheers

Mary

We seem to be having problem with the "Current Course Section Highlight Colour", the current section doesn't seem to get highlighted.

Reviewing the page source shows all the sections having the same class (I'd think the current section element would have the class 'current'?).

Is there any other option that needs to be set? It doesn't make any difference whether it's weekly or topics format.

Re: Adaptable: version 1.5.1 released

Nvm, it seems I have misunderstood what "current" section means.

So for weekly format, current week's section gets highlighted. For topics format, a manually chosen topic gets highlighted.

Is there a way for the student's current section (ie where the logged-in student have done up to within the course) to be the highlighted section?

No, this is a moodle feature. Adaptable just allow to set the colour

Hi, team

Feel like I am stepping into the land of the Giants with this theme smile

First up, where do you want questions on the use of them put?

Here or out to the blog site as I am going to be pushing this as much as I can to make it look great and usable?

I have a week to pull this together as bit the bullet and gone with the upgrade that was planned.

I am referring to this post.

Re: Gremlins in main theme code?

but for this question..

not figuring in of the Poodll plugin type questions (As I will keep these out to the plugin thread)

Setup:

Moodle 3.3.2

Adaptable: version 1.5.1

What would be the best code to use for a range of Tabs through the course and books that are used?

Seems right at this stage I haven't got Poodll working correctly so will have to hard code these until I figure out what is going wrong with the Poodll plugin.

Edits:  This is working, but I have killed Poodll, will have to work on it over the coming week.

Have you tried using the tabs and tabitem templates in the Generico filter? There is also an accordion template.

Ok, if you read the forums code of conduct (https://moodle.org/mod/page/view.php?id=7080) you will find the words:

"Posting the same question in multiple forums is of no benefit. It only fragments the support you receive and makes it more difficult for other users to find the correct information in the future when they do a search.

If you really feel your topic falls in two forums (e.g. a major development in the Quiz module that may impact other parts of Moodle), pick the most specific (e.g. Quiz forum) and post a small pointer to the other discussion in the second forum (e.g. General developer forum)."

Therefore post in one forum only whenever possible.  So if 'theme' and styling related then post in the 'Themes' (this) forum.

Hi Daniell,

if I were you I would ask all the questions I need  answers for in the Adaptable support website. There is a link to it in the Adaptable themes plugin page.  Also I believe you will get better support from the Adaptable team.

As for Poodle and the Generico Filter then you are better asking for help in General Forum where there is a discussion already in place.

https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=261896

Hope this helps?

Mary

Just keeping it here and in the spirit of sharing..

Got the theme all set and looking great but came across an age old problem for many..

How to get rid of that 'All courses' link on front page - drop the following in to the setting for custom css.

 .pagelayout-frontpage #frontpage-course-list .paging-morelink {display:none;}

Comes from this helpful post from 2014

https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=259308#p1128866

I am not sure if it might cause other problems as yet, someone with more knowledge might be able to tell me.

But I hope this saves someone a few hours of work, as it did for me as I had to wade though a ton of posts to get this fix. smile

Something strange is happening... so we are running Moodle 2.97 and version 1.2.4.2 of the theme

I have enclosed to attachments, it changes depending on what category you go into....

Is this a bug or is there some settings in the theme i can change to stop it from happening.

We prefer the second view but can't see why this is happening and also is there away to move the categories box to the bottom instead..

Thanks

Mark

You are using deprecated moodle and Adaptable versions. To get support you must upgrade both.

Tárgy: Adaptable: version 1.5.1 released

by József Somogyi -

Hi,

We upgraded our portal from

Moodle 3.0+ (Build: 20151119)
Adaptable 1.2.4+

to

Moodle: Moodle 3.3.2 (Build: 20170911)
Adaptable: 1.5.1 (2017082500)

The footer and the frontpage sliders in the new verison are hidden in Windows 8.1, IE11 but I don't understand why.

Our problem is not simple, so

It's working:
Win7/IE10/Firefox
Win 8.1/Firefox

But it is not working in

Win8.1/IE11 (11.0.9600.18793)

These are working propherly in the previous Moodle and Adaptable version.

(I checked it in our two test portals, and the results was same.)

Do you have any idea how can we solve (or where can we search) is the problem?

Thank you for your advise

Best regards
J.

We do not have a Windows environment for testing so it is difficult to replicate it.

We don't have any report about issues with IE so you must find by yourself. It could be a content or Adaptable issue.

Try to find errors in the browser console.

Hello Fernando,

Can I use my own javascript slider (in "Custom CSS & JS") only one page (frontpage) not in the all pages of our Moodle site?

I created a javascript slider (from here: https://www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/bootstrap_carousel.asp) what is working well, but I can't use it only in the frontpage and I can't set this position (to top).

May it possible specifying this code? Can you help me to solve it?

J.

If you want to add your own slider then you must modify layout/frontpage,php

Just replace the existing function by your code. Do not remove the conditionals.
