The Generico filter is a simple way to make templates from html snippets or text in Moodle. I decided I should actually release it now, since it was mentioned in this discussion.
You can make up to 10 templates, and each template has three parts.
i) the key
ii) the template body
iii) default values
BODY: The @@@fruitname@ is @@fruitcolor@@.
The filter string to use could then look like:
When expanded it would become: The banana is yellow.
The most common use of this is probably when embedding third party iframes from video hosting services, or ed app providers like quizlet. But it is really useful when prototyping front end code and new filters. And it would also be useful for including commonly used text snippets.
