At the course level it would be useful if all activities could be opened in a new window, without headers or footers or blocks.
At present the quiz activity allows a javascript pop up without headers or footers but some blocks remain. If all activities could launched in a new window without headers, footers or blocks then an activity could be embedded in another activity or embedded as a web object in an external tool.
In the lesson activity in particular, it would be incredible if you could make any course level activity a content page or recycle existing quiz questions.
This modular approach to activities would offer a massive amount of flexibility and Moodle could compete with authoring tools like Articulate or iSpring.
It would be useful to better integrate the lesson menu with the lesson content. At present the menu is a block which sits separately from the content. The option to add any item from the lesson to the menu should exist.
The lesson being an activity itself could also launch in another window, without headers or footers or blocks and could be designed to play nicely on a mobile device.
Does anyone else see the potential here?
