accessing uploaded file

I am running Moodle on a windows 2000 machine. Originally, I could not upload any files. Changing my "slash arguments" settings fixed this. Now I can upload any type of file successfully, but I cannot download any files from Moodle. .txt and .jpg files open in a popup window but cannot be saved. Any file that I try to right click and download gives a message like:

Internet Explorer cannot download ...e.jpg","display","480","640")from openpopup(". No such interface supported

Yes, if your browser supports javascript then the filenames are links to popup windows.

To save the files locally from inside Moodle's file manager you can right click within the popup windows. Students will be seeing your files as part of resource activities, though, where they are very ordinary web pages.
