Due to not being able to modify a lesson matching question I am looking at using a quiz instead.
Can I send a student from a quiz activity back to a lesson without the student having to navigate through a block?
There are various ways to achieve this. You may place a link to your lesson in the Quiz's General Feedback. You may also use the Activity completion feature to "unhide" the Lesson once the Quiz has been taken.

I did see the option of providing a link in the feedback although this approach seemed messy and also easy to miss if the student is rushing and does not bother to read the feedback since the answer was correct.
I am new to Moodle although I will be in this for the long haul since my work is required for registration purposes. I am trying to provide simple navigation that can be carried out in a rush by someone that is not familiar with Moodle structure.
