Hi everyone!
I'm not counting on it right now, but maybe there is a work around this. This is what i basically want to do.
Automate the generation of grader/user report at regular intervals of time. Like maybe every Friday of the week and email it in an excel or a similar format.
Is this possible?
If not, maybe we should have something like this in the next version. What's your take on it?

That's an interesting idea. Are you wanting to email user reports to all students or just the grader report to teachers or both?

This is certainly a feature wanted by k-12 schools. We love to be able to push assessment information at parents and students.

I guess for that you'd more want the ability to click something and send out assessment information rather than necessarily having it sent out on a regular schedule.

I agree that k-12 schools would appreciate this capability.
I think that the school should be able to specify the interval when reports would be emailed and also who gets the email.
If a school uses the mentor role, the mentor/parent should get the email.

This is also sorely needed in higher ed!
Automated emails to students who reach a set # of absences would be invaluable (I teach at a commuter campus).
Choosing when to click and send out grades for an assignment or exam would be awesome.

Please vote for this feature and encourage others to do the same. That is how new features are added to Moodle.

I have raised this as MDL-23849 Feel free to add comments and vote.
To vote for this feature follow the link above. This will take you to the "tracker". You need to register in the tracker to vote. I just used the same username and password that I used for moodle.org to register on the tracker.
Then you will see a little thumbs up symbol on the right hand side of the screen with "Vote" next to it. Click on this to record your vote.
Get everyone you know who uses moodle to do the same.
Start a movement.

This is also a big complaint in our school. Would be a great addition in the next build....or a plugin?
