This module allows for the dynamic generation of certificates based on predefined conditions set by the teacher. NOTE: This plugin is no longer receiving any new features. Only bug fixes are being applied. I have been working on a new plugin which can be located at https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_customcert which allows complete customisation of the PDF via the browser, whereas this plugin requires FTP and PHP knowledge. Both plugins can be installed on a site at once with no issues.

Hello, I am new to Moodle, and really like it. I have a question. I have a certificate of completion that is in a pdf format. I currently use a custom app for my students profiles and pull a couple of fields from it to populate the certificates and print them out. I have installed the certificate plug-in. Is there a way to pull two fields from Moodle (name and a custom field) to a pdf and be able to print it out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, when i generate the certificate, it downloads blank .pdf. What could be the reason? Am I doing something wrong? I am using Moodle 3.1.8. Is that the reason? Thanks

Hello, I have a small problem with this module, in some installations it does not save the certificate correctly to be able to download it later (link to download generate certificate) although in the configuration it is configured to save them and , and when I clic in certificate link as administrator, it opens the certificate directly in pdf (page mod/certificate/view.php?id=xxx) instead of sending me to the page with the "get certificate" button and i need type "mod/certificate/report.php?id=xxx" to view generated certificates in course, and also i cant downloads it because is not link to pdf archive).

This is a bit freak because it only happens in two moodle installations in two diferent servers (the same in both):

    - Moodle 3.0 (with mod certificate 2015111602)
    - Moodle 3.4 (with mod cetificate 2016052300)

In the rest of the installations in the same servers works perfectly, would someone know why it could be? I have been testing for a long time and I have not found the solution.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Penny,

This plugin is not GDPR compliant. However, if someone wants to create a privacy provider I will happily merge it.

Just a note - https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_customcert is GDPR compliant.

My institution is using the old version of the plugin. We are having trouble with the logo pixelating. Is there a way to hack the plugin to allow svg files?

Hi, I configured the Certificate to be delivered by email and it works fine, but the sender email is showing my name. I want the sender to be the generic learning environment or anything that can be configured.
