I am having trouble finding the correct location to change the "Certificate of Achievement" to "Certificate of Completion" on the generated certificate. I have tried modifying the certificate.php file in mod/certificate/lang/en and I have restarted PHP. No change. Any thoughts?

I need to create a certificate for each assignment . Each assignment has at least 3 outcomes . The outcomes are measured with a scale ( reached / not reached ) . I wish it were printed on the certificate all the outcomes and their evaluation . It's possible?
From my attempts seems that I can print a maximum one outcome and the corresponding assessment, but only if it is numeric . Can you help me?

    Hi Mark,

Is there a way to share the certifiacate on Linkedin?

    Hi Mark,
I have some students with names in Arabic. Their names in the certificates appear all question marks. Is there a way to solve this?

    Hi Chris,
Regarding characters appearing as question marks, we solved the problem by going to the certificate settings in the course and changing the certificate type (under Design options) to A4 Embedded.

I have been trying to use the certificate plugin, which with a little customization meets my needs. However, with the latest update of the plugin I realize that the effort to put back my customizations could become very great. So, what I would really like to see is the ability to customize the position, the style and the content of EVERY element on the certificate. While the plugin does allow a very limited number of customizations, they are simply not sufficient. Any chance of adding such changes?

Hi Mark. Thanks a lot for developing the certificate plugin. We've used this plugin for many years. As we've communicated in the custom certificate forum about the support for the global search, would you please also help to support the global search for the certificate plugin too? Details please regarding to the information I've post in the custom certificate plugin comments:
    Many thanks.
    Best wishes,

Josiah - you may want to have a look at

Lina - most of my free development time (not working on core) is spent on the new custom certificate module (mod_customcert). I will be working on adding global search support to that plugin first, and if it is easy to port to this (old) module then I will do it, otherwise I am happy to accept a patch with the needed changes.

    Hi, Mark:
I love your "certificate" plugin for moodle 3.1, yet only if rendered in English.
Will you tell me how to print out the certificate in Chinese?
I googled a lot for the solution, only in frustration.
    Best wishes,

    Hey Adams,

You need to change the font you are using on your certificate to one that supports UTF-8.

    Hi Mark:
I installed the certificate plugin, and added a certificate with restricted access to my course. But, when I try to click on the certificate to preview it, I get redirected to my dashboard. Any idea why?

    Hi Mark:
A bit more info, even when I log in as a student and complete the required activities so the certificate is available, clicking on it still brings me to my dashboard.
