This plugin provides five graphs that may facilitate the identification of student profiles. Those graphs allow the teacher to send messagens to users according to their behaviour inside a course. The graphs show:

  1. Grades Chart - The grades distribuition in a box graph to identifiy the differences among evaluations and students with problems.
  2. Content Accesses Chart - Which users accessed many different rsources.
  3. Number of Active Users Chart - How manu users are active in a certain time of day.
  4. Assignment Submissions Chart - Which users have submited assignments on time or late (tasks, quizzes and hotpotatoes).
  5. Hits distribution Chart - How each user is accessing the course and its resources in each cours week.

It is possible to click over graph elements in order to send email to a group of students (first two graphs) or to a particular student (last graph).

Thanks to Nadav Kavalerchik for the navigation code.

Thanks to Paul Nijbakker / Evgenii Pavliuk for so many things. Lots of new features. (

Thanks to Ben Chenoweth for H5P and Turnitin code.

    i installed Analytics Graphs (block_analytics_graphs) v4.1.1 (2018072501) and with 433 users in my db it gives me 1 access from start date 01.01.2019 (moodle installed on november 2018)!

    I have latest stable moodle, php and mysql. Python is installed in its path ok and all other dependencies checks OK!

    Any function of Analytics Graphs:
    1. Grades chart - doesnt display anything at all;

    2. Content accesses - it can be selected ONLY the "Activity": "Forum" NOT COURSES, OR OTHERS;

    3. Number of active students - on a 365 days timeline, hourly, a report is build and is saying : "0.0" students at every hour for 24 hour timeline not 365 days;

    4. Hits distribution - by the way the date interval or start date can't be set

    I saved in my pc images and were the plugin generated 2 graps or 3 per page I saved entire webpage as .PDF. I put those files at your disposition if you request it.

    The intent is great but I'm desapointed... sincerelly.

    Dear Marcelo Schmitt,

    I love this plug in. Recently I am testing this with Moodle 3.8, looks like I am not able to send email / message. Is it working fine in 3.8?

    Hi. Every chart should be able to be viewed for a specific student group, but when looking e.g. Quiz submissions of specific group, Analytics graph shows submissions for every quiz on the course at once, even though every group has their own group specific quizzes defined for them, so group1 has only quiz1 available for them etc.

    Group settings on a course are set as 'separate groups'.

    Shouldn't graph only list out those group specific activities, when a specific group is selected?

    Hi Petri
    Actually, when I created the plugin I did not take that into consideration. I will make another version that fix it. It is a good ideia. Thank you very much.

    Hi, Marcelo

    That sounds great, thank you very much! Nobody has probably just not noticed that before depending how much they use the group functionality.
    Are you planning to introduce the fix to the current version that covers 3.0 - 3.9 Moodle versions also?
