Assignment submissions : Online PoodLL submissions

Maintained by Picture of Justin Hunt Justin Hunt
The PoodLL Assignment Submission allows students to record audio or video, or draw/upload pictures as assignment submissions. It requires the PoodLL filter to also be installed.
Moodle 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7

Using the PoodLL Assign Submission you can use any of these 5 "recorders."
1) Video recording (via PoodLL's Red Server
2) Audio Recording (via PoodLL's Red Server
3) MP3 Recording (doesn't require Red5)
4) Whiteboard (draw pictures)
5) Snapshot (take photos with webcam)

The assignment should detect an iOS or android device and allow the student to record or upload directly from the device. In the case of a whiteboard it will display a drawing area with controls

Using the PoodLL feedback mod it is also possible to respond to the student in the same medium in which they submitted.

This plugin is part of set PoodLL.

    Hi Pascal

On the MP3 recorder there is a pause button. But it must be enabled in the PoodLL filter settings.
The setting is under microphone settings, and called "Allow pause (MP3 recorder only)".

    Is that what you wanted?

In order to finalize a assignment, my student need to record a specifiek telephone call. There aloud to do this on there smartphone, in order to upload this immediately to the e-learning environment. This plugin seems to be IT! Unfortunately this plugin doesn't seem to work via a smartphone. Does it?

it does work on a smartphone, but it has limited functionality. It should detect the user is on a mobile device and show an upload button. When the user clicks that they have the option of recording on their phone or choosing a file. But this is the browsers native "record or choose" area. You won't be able to record a phone call here or even see the assignment page. I suppose the student could hold the recording phone close to another phone doing the call on "speaker phone" mode. That seems a bit of a stretch though.
