This will display a font-awesome icon. The template loads the font awesome CSS library and offers some options for orientation, size and layout. Its easy to add more options by editing the template. You need to specify the icon to display. The default is 'cog.' There are of course thousands, but perhaps try 'star', 'ambulance' or 'youtube.' About this plugin

This plugin is a template that can be used with the Generico filter. Read more about Generico and templates here.

Installing this plugin.

After downloading, unzip the downladed file. Inside will be a template text file with a .txt file extension. You do not need to edit or open the file. It can be imported as is by dragging it over the green bundle box on a Generico template settings page.

See this page for more information how to do that.

Using this plugin

If the template is installed and the Generico filter enabled. You only need to put the Generico filter string on the page, and it will work. The Generico filter has a companion plugin for Atto HTML editor (not yet for TinyMCE). This can auto generate the Generico filter strings for you, and is the recommended way to use Generico.

What version of FA is this using, and does it inject the header code for using the webfont or footer scripts for using the SVGs?

This is font awesome 4. It adds this CSS include to the page header (actually 'inject' is correct). "maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.2.0/css/font-awesome.min.css"
It's easy enough to change the URL to point to Font Awesome 5 in the the template. Or if font awesome is already loaded by your theme (which is much better). Then you can remove the CSS inject altogether.
