Hi, how is the upgrade path from mod_certificate supposed to work?

My site which is at Moodle 3.1 uses mod_certificate since a long time (Moodle 2.5 I thinkg). The fixes for Moodle 3.1 is now ended and we want to upgrade to 3.5 ASAP. Obviously we do not want to lose the certificates already issued. What I thought was to install mod_customcert in parallel in our 3.1, configure and test mod_customcert Then upgrade the site to 3.5. But I see this plug-in is not supported in Moodle 3.1! How should I go ahead?

    hi,
i need to print on the certificate, a text that the teacher will edit for each student of his course. So i create a non-visible custom user field in the user profil (the student cannot see it). There the teacher (with manager role and permission) can write a note (text, appreciation, congratulation ) to print on the certificate. But whereas the manager can edit the field, the plugin does not allow to insert it into the certificate template because it have a non-visible property. so, is there a way to change it (php code or new setting or css), then the non-visible fiels will appear in the combo list of choices to insert into the template.
thank you for your kindness and time to reply me.

does anybody test the restrict access on that activity certificate plugin ?

i put a rule which does not work, looks like a bug.

i don't want the certificat is show/available for the student while the user fied XXXX contains the word "specimen".

i also tried the revert rule (do not contain) but the certificat is always available ! is it normal ?

My aim is the teacher must trigger the availability of the certificate. To perform that, he needs to add a appreciation note (a text) in the user field profile (custom user field added to student profile in invisible mode but manager teacher can access it). By default, that fields is filled with "specimen" word until the teacher put his note.

so it did not work the certificate is alaways available whatever the accessibility rule....

bug or error on my side ?

    Hi Mark,
are there any plans for admin pages and reports regarding the number of total certificates issued by the system, certificates per course, select multiple certificates, bulk select certificates and update all selected from template at once, and this kind of functionality .

also I recommend a feature to print all certificates for a single course or download all of them in one pdf file similar to download all in the simple certificate plugin

    Hi All,
if you use other languages like Arabic and it displayed as ????, it is a font problem and to add additional fonts supports your language you have to download latest version of tcpdf project from this URL https://sourceforge.net/projects/tcpdf/ and then copy the fonts folder to moodle Data root.

This is a fantastic plugin, thank you.
My only question is, is there anyway a notification can be issued when a person has successfully achieved certification? Thanks
