Maintained by Picture of Streaming Limited Streaming Limited
In order for the MEDIAL Video Assignment Activity to launch from the text editor you must install this TinyMCE Plugin. MEDIAL Video Assignment Activity allows Teachers and Students to create and respond to Video Assignments that are uploaded and cataloged in MEDIAL (a video streaming media library) rather than Moodle itself

IMPORTANT NOTE: Before installing this plugin please install the MEDIAL Assignment Activity Plugin

MEDIAL is a media library and video streaming software application that you can host on our own network/hardware. A Windows Server is required. The application can also be Cloud Hosted if required.

For a full demo of how MEDIAL works with Moodle please visit: http://www.medial.com

If you face the challenge of your users uploading large video files to Moodle on a regular basis then the MEDIAL Moodle plugin is for you!

This plugin allows Teachers / Lecturers to upload video or audio files to MEDIAL through the existing assignment activity via a button on the TinyMCE editor

Users can upload video and audio within Moodle with the content being hosted on MEDIAL and not Moodle. MEDIAL then does all of the hard work in terms of transcoding media for different devices types. It also ensures that the transcoded content is then streamed back to any device that tries to play it back.

The plugin also features the ability for Teachers to use the tool to set Video Assignments

Students can respond to these with video and audio. The plugin is accessed via a simple button on the TinyMCE Text Editor within Moodle so it couldn't be easier to use!

Teachers can also grade the Video Responses made by Students in the Grade Book

The plugin is built using Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) so users are able to manage their media content once uploaded as well

Also available is the MEDIAL Activity Plugin which allows Teachers to upload video and audio content from a Activity without the need to launch through the Text Editor. This plugin is better suited for users of earlier versions of Moodle

This plugin is part of set MEDIAL.

Thanks you very much! I have no more ideas for creating new plug-ins. In order to find out in what format the search plugin can use the "MEDIAL TinyMCE Editor". On my projects games http://www.friv5online.com/friv4school search is already realized with the help of this plugin. I also think this topic will be useful not only for me - perhaps someone else besides me will undertake the creation of new plug-ins. Many thanks for this article.
