Campus theme allows you to customize the look and feel of your moodle site as much as possible. It provides an elegant way for designing the header. It is fully responsive and optimised for MNET authentication and provides all common features of modern moodle themes such as slideshow, custom category design, social icons,...
Latest release:
401 sites
159 downloads
85 fans
Current versions available: 10

This theme is the designers choice. You can make the theme look great, or just really awful. The theme is designed to have the possibility to reflect the corporate identity as much as possible with providing theme settings to adjust your header to your design needs. Some of the features are:

  • Responsive header divided into background/logo.
  • Font types.
  • MNET authentication.
  • Full-Screen mode for max working comfort.
  • Sub-themes for course categories.
  • Frontpage-Slideshow, category slideshow.
  • Social Icons.

Please note: As of Moodle 3.6, Campus development has stopped due to the removal of 'Bootstrapbase' in Moodle 3.7.  It might be possible to update the theme to be a child theme of Boost or a standalone Bootstrap 4 theme, but that would take a reasonable amount of time and effort.  Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed and used the theme in the past.

Awesome! I'm more tangled, than I realised smile

My goal is to set up a couple of blog-type sites and an educational one, preferably using host-headers or subdomains, i.e.
    - myaddress.com: the main site in language A
    - edu.myaddress.com: an educational site in language B
    - blog.myaddress.com: a blog site in language A

The edu site has priority, so I started with creating the subdomain and installing Moodle on it. However there is something fishy in the web hotel and Moodle crashed within an hour, i.e. install, do something light in the admin side (like change name), wait and boom. Their support just stated, that my hosting plan is not sufficient to run Moodle. I'm not sure, I buy the idea, that Moodle is such resource hog.

My next take was the idea to run Joomla in multisite mode. Unfortunately it turned out, that Moodle is not fully translated to language B (it is in A), and JoomFish is no longer usable. I ditched Joomla, since configuring it to run in multisite mode and translating it was beginning to be much work (+ theme + LMS settings + content).

So I landed to Wordpress, that supports multisite with much less pain (although there are conflicting instructions how you do it). Anyway I have the two first sites running, albeit the edu one still needs some template and settings adjustments.

Once more, sorry, for the noise and causing confusion.

    We're using Campus v2.9.1.22 on Moodle 3.3.5
We have problem with the login link in the header not working - the html is present but a click on the link doesn't cause the dropdown to appear
Has this been raised previously ?

Is there a way to post small screen grabs to illustrate ?

    Dear Gary,

Please use the version of the theme designed for that version of Moodle: https://moodle.org/plugins/pluginversion.php?id=14512.

Thanks Gareth - that did the job. So I can't rely on Site Admin > Plugins > Overview to show me that there's a more appropriate version of the plugin it seems.

    Hi Gareth,
Do you think the theme is active in Moodle 3.5 version?
If you think no, how long can we expect compliance?
    Thank you

    Greetings!
How can I change the text color of the hidden courses displayed on available courses? Didn't find it on the Look and Feel settings of the Theme.

You have to use custom CSS.

    Hi Gareth/David,

It seems after upgrading to v3.5, icons have disappeared in the gradebook setup. Is this a known issue, or is there a simple fix? I can link to a screenshot if needed.

    Dear Paul,

Just checked and I cannot see that they have disappeared. Please post a screenshot on https://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=46 - and please do read the forum rules first.

Thanks Gareth, I'll do that momentarily and post the link here. While I'm getting the screenshots (trying to find a "before" pic for comparison), what branch of Campus is recommended for Moodle v3.5? I tried master and MOODLE_34_STABLE, both with the same results.

    Dear Paul,

I've replied. This is a functional difference between M3.4 and 3.5 and not a theme issue.
