With this question type the student has to solve the assignment in GeoGebra. The state of the applet is saved to Moodle for grading or in case it has been possible to automatically grade the assignment for review.

The question type supports randomization of sliders in the applet and substitute variables in the question text with this slider values.

If there are boolean objects present in the applet which indicate the correctness of a solution, those objects can be used for automatically grade the assignment.

    Hi,
    I have a sample Geogebra question type in Moodle and whenever I go to the preview page the preview is a total mess. This might be an error in themes but just want to confirm it here.

    I have Moodle 3.11 installed and has been running great. I have done multiple updates of plugins, but this one doesn't seem to complete the process. It installs the code for the q-type, but it never gets to the page to update the database. It goes to the notifications page which says there is an update available. When I check, it shows the geogebra q-type needs to be updated. However, if I try to update from a zip, it says the update is already installed. I checked the code on the server and it did in fact install the updated code. It just never got to the point of updating the database... hence the inconsistency.

    Is this an issue on my machine or is there something glitchy with the upgrade.php file in the db folder? I don't know php well enough to tell.

    Just to second Paula Caso's comment, we're running 3.11.3 (Build 20210913) and are getting the same behaviour that the plugin has an update available, but the Upgrade Database stage never kicks in.

    Hi! I have just downloaded file "qtype_geogebra_moodle311_2021100500.zip" , it is noted that it should be release 1.11.2 , I unpacked it, but inside in file version.php I saw:

    $plugin->version = 2021062500;
    $plugin->release = '1.11.1';

    So there is maybe some error in versions or file to download is old.

    Unfortunately, the problem persists as of today. When I try to "install" the update, it says it is already installed. I tried downloading the zip and installing it that way. When I install from the ZIP, it validates and says it can continue. I click continue and it takes me straight to the notifications page. It never gives the option to upgrade the database.

    News: I decided to look for the original code on GitHub. I figured that would be the best place to get the most up-to-date code. I found it there, downloaded it as a ZIP, unpacked it, changed the name of the inner folder to "geogebra", repacked it, installed the new ZIP file ... and this time it worked!

    I am using the GeoGebra type question and an error is displayed when reviewing the question and marking it as not complete: "Answer is missing. JavaScript is probably not enabled in the browser, or perhaps an unknown error occurred."
    I wonder if anyone else has gone through it?
