WARNING: This plugin is deprecated and no longer needed for usages with StudentQuiz Version >= 3.0.0.

We encourage administrators to upgrade StudentQuiz to version >= 3.0.0, where all functionality of this question behaviour is integrated now.

The StudentQuiz Question Behaviour extended the immediate feedback question behaviour. In addition to the immediate feedback the StudentQuiz Question Behaviour allowed you to rate and comment question after the user checked the answer for grading.

    Hi Scott
Under Moodle >=3.3, when you add a StudentQuiz activity named "xyz", the hidden section "xyz quizzes" becomes created which stores all the genereated quizzes. Under <3.3 this was the section 999. So far this is ok, however, backup & restore as well as import causes the many empty sections to show up.
I agree that this is a bug under >=3.3 and we are working on this. The idea is that we omit section 999 completely. A solution will be provided in a few weeks. I will place a warning on the plugin page for the time being.

    Hi Frank
I use the studentquiz with my class today. It workes fine but some stuff I didn't understand. Not all class member got the same amout of questions. Some got 20 questions, others got 50 questions, but it was exactly the same group. I deleted and created a new one but I still get 20 instead of 48 questions. How is this possible?

    Regards
    Michael

    Hello Hans

So far we know the statistic page and the ranking page can have some inconsistencies depending on the capabilities given. We're working hard to release the next version soon with a lot of improvements there and under the hood. It's better to review this issue once the next version is out. I'd like to thank for your patience.

Also a little message for all:

This is the plugin page for the behavior plugin. Comments, issues and questions are best placed in the activity plugin page: https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_studentquiz

This behavior plugin *will deprecate and not be required* anymore with the release of the next version of the activity plugin (the activity plugin will have this behavior integrated).

So, with this plugin deprecated, how on earth should it be removed? There is no "uninstall" link in plugins overview, or anywhere else that I can find, and while the instructions at https://studentquiz.hsr.ch/docs/administrator/uninstall.html refer to "below" for description of uninstalling it, there is no sign of such a description.

Hello Nick, to get rid of the deprecated behaviour plugin please delete your SQ activities. This should make the uninstall option available. You can also remove the behaviour plugin by deleting the "your_moodle_directory/question/behaviour/studentquiz" directory.

Hi Frank - so once we've upgraded to SQ 3.x, we still need the old qbehaviour plugin for old studentquizzes to work? But new ones will be OK without it?

Hi Nick, after an upgrade to 3.0 you do not need the qbehaviour plugin anymore.

But despite that we still have to delete old quizzes in order to get rid of it? Is there a way round this?

Hi Nick, if you uninstall the SQv3.x plugin it will wipe out remaining SQ activities.

The emailed module notifications, such as question commented, do not appear to honour anonymity settings. That is, if you have set your instance to anonymous, even though the questions and comments as seen via Moodle are anonymous, the emailed notifications include the name of commenters. Can anyone else confirm this? I think this is a bug.

Thank you for the report. We're aware of this but didn't see it as a bug so far. But you're right, if StudentQuiz is configured to be anonymous, there shouldn't be any loopholes about this. And if somebody wants to leave her contact data, he could do so with the comment message. So ok, it is added to our todo-list for one of the next releases.

BTW: Please don't post here on the former behaviour plugin https://moodle.org/plugins/qbehaviour_studentquiz because it is a depricated. The ONLY active StudentQuiz plugin is https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_studentquiz. Thank you!

    v. Moodle 3.10

    Hola.

    1) The StudentQuiz behaviour plugin is DEPRECATED, thus you shouldn't use it anymore. Use the StudentQuiz plugin instead, see https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_studentquiz.
    2) Please use English for your posts.
    3) You can export all your questions from the Moodle question bank and import them into a StudentQuiz acitivity. Then you have everything within StudentQuiz and could work from there.
    4) There is currently no intention to modify StudentQuiz in a way that it can maintain questions within the Moodle core question base.
