Thank you very much!
Carlos Arjona Quijano: This is a known issue that we believe is related to #228 and/or #251 on our GitHub issues list. The task has been assigned and we have a solution in mind but we have not had the time to complete it yet.
Thank you in advance.
I'm using Moodle 3.9 with Klass Theme.
We're aware of the issue and are planning a v4.5.1 release to address it. We are tracking the issue on GitHub: https://github.com/ncstate-delta/moodle-mod_zoom/issues/374
Some amazing work on this topic has been done by a university in Canada and we'll be working to get it merged as soon as possible. Reference: https://github.com/ncstate-delta/moodle-mod_zoom/pull/371
Version 4.5.1 was released earlier today. It should resolve the issue.
We really like your Plugin. It eases our work on our moodle-site!
We wonder if it's possible to apply the username from moodle as display name in zoom as well – our participants would appreciate that very much!
Thank you for yor help!
The join URL for the participants already send the user's full name from Moodle: https://github.com/ncstate-delta/moodle-mod_zoom/blob/e294f94fa7a0e19b40f70af8b59f4435acc6a505/locallib.php#L1050
However, please note that if the user is logged in to a Zoom account, it will use that Zoom account's name instead. We do not have any control over the name of logged-in users.
thanks for the hint! So what we asked for already works by default or else can't be done.
That's good to know, thanks a lot!
one follow-up question: do you have control over the display name of users that are not logged-in in zoom, but are using the zoom app? My guess is in that case the username that was sent along with the join URL will still be overwritten/dismissed just as if the user was logged-in. Is that right?
Many thanks again!
