Is it possible to have the events created be visible across the whole site? During all my testing all I can get is for it to show up in the Course only. What am I missing?

    Hi Stephen,
I'm sorry but we can't create site events.
Reservations, as any activities, are related to a course so teacher capabilities permit to create only course and user events.

    HI Roberto,

have Moodle version 3.9.1+ (Build: 20200730). The plugin version I have is 2019031908.

It works but cannot delete a reservation. Has this been fixed with the version I have?

Hi Roberto: I work for a nonprofit. We are setting up a tutoring program with hundreds of volunteer tutors. I would like to ask if we can have it so that the tutors (non editing teachers) can declare/open their own availability but do not have to see all of the other appointments? For the students, they just need to see the opening slots and the name of the tutor. For the admin, it would be best to see all opening and assign a zoom room to it (zoom is a shared resource and two meetings cannot be taking place at the same time using the same zoom account). Thank you very much.

    Hi,
I'm sorry but I think you can't manage it with Moodle and Reservation plugin.
Tutors can't create reservations because they can't modify the course.
If you enable course editing for Tutors, modifying capabilities, they can change any reservation of all tutors.
Probably you need something else to do that work.

    HTH,
    Roberto

    Hi Roberto:
Thanks for your quick answer. If you can think of some other plugins that would do this, please let me know.

    Hello Roberto,
thank you for a great plugin, we use it at our department to enrol students for measurements in practice.

I'd like to ask about a possible improvement. If it is mandatory to fill in a note when requesting a reservation, whether it would be possible:
    - offer instead of a manual note a selection of values from the combo box;
    - analogous to the previous one, only the already selected value from the combo box would not be offered in the list during the current reservation; if the student checked out of the reservation, the option would be available to others again (we would like to simulate the already selected tasks).

    Thank you!
    All the best
    Zdenek

    Hello Zdenek,
your requests sound to me like things that you can do with Choice activity.
If you need both (Reservation and Choice) features you can connect them using completion and conditional activities.

    HTH,
    Roberto

Great plugin! I might be missing something, but is the intention of the 'Teachers' field so that a reservation can be created for a teacher of the course? I have both editing and non-editing teachers in the course, but nothing appears in that field, and it can't be manually edited either. Hoping somebody can help with this as it would make things easier on our teaching staff.

    Many thanks
    Paul

    Hello Paul,
the 'Teachers' field show all enrolled users with 'mod/reservation:addinstance' or 'moodle/course:viewhiddenactivities' capabilities.
Usually editing teacher has these capabilities.
Please check them in Site administration -> Users -> Permissions -> Define roles

Hi Roberto and thank you for your plugin, it's look great.
I am testing it and have 2 questions:

    1. Is there a report to get the list of all the reservations whatever the course? I did not find the associated page. Does it have anything to do with publiclists ?

    2. I would like to allow to download a Sign-In Sheet with information about the booking (code, facilitator ...). I can see that I can already do a lot with the PDF but the booking information is missing.

    Best regards

    Hi Francois,
    1. Yes, you can access to it through the Activities Block. Publiclists disable user login check for that page, so do not select it if you don't need. Be careful.
    2. Download formats for tables are managed by Moodle library so I can't change them. If you download Open document or Excel they could easily modified.
Administrators can enable several userfields to be shown in reservation lists.

    HTH,
    Roberto
