Web service template plugin for Moodle 2.X

It is a template designed as a starting point for developing third party web services. It includes a simple Hello World example.

To test:
1- install the plugin in Moodle
2- Read, setup and run /client/client.php

Hi Paul,
I mostly write core web services (so not a local plugin).

Are you looking to more complex example of local plugin? You can have a look to http://docs.moodle.org/dev/Adding_a_web_service_to_a_plugin

Not much John, just maintain it so it is easy to create a local plugin with a web services. Actually it's more of a dev plugin, I am not sure it should be published on Moodle.org.

This Template is helpful. But out of Date - the structure on Moodle 3.x is different, ex. Moodle use now a autoloader.
I can provide a small Webservice Template for the community.

The Documentation on https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Adding_a_web_service_to_a_plugin is to old and not very helpful

Hi Patrick, I would also be very interested in a Moodle 3.X Web Service Template. Looking at trying to make something that the current web services don't accomplish for us.

This seems to have been removed from Moodle HQ's github. I appreciate it's not up to date with 3.x, but its removal has broken moosh
