I'm using this plugin and trying to use its data on my dashboard, but I can't find the table where the information about this plugin is located in my Moodle database. How do I find this information?

    Hello,
    on page https://moodle.org/plugins/block_completion_progress/versions you haven't marked the newest version for 4.1, can you add this? The page only says;

Version for Moodle 4.1 onwards (2023110100)
    Moodle 4.3

We're really impressed with this plugin, but we're having trouble locating it in our Branded Mobile App. Is it compatible with the Moodle Mobile App? And if so, is it displayed as blocks? If not, do you have an estimate for when we can expect the completion progress plugin to be available in the Mobile App?

    Thanks!

what does the 'Yellow" in the progress bar indicates? Thank you

@cyran, usually it means "Submitted but not complete" (for assignments and quizzes that are waiting on a grade to be considered complete). This color is defined in the site-admin settings for the block.

I find the Progress bar very useful. However, I have proposed several games to my students (such as crosswords in Moodle), but I noticed that these games are not being tracked by the progress bar. Is it possible to also track Moodle Games as crosswrods? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I note from the description that hidden activities do not show on the block. Is this the same for restricted activities? We have students that take separate pathways on a course and we'd only want the block to show activities that are relevant to them via group allocation.

@Chris Canning - you are correct, that the completion progress bar will only show activities that the student can see - so if you have differentiated activities by group - the students will only see the items relating to the group that they are in.

This is in the main a good thing - however, it sometimes causes confusion to learners, if you have activities that are only available once an earlier activity has been completed - when the learners first come into the course, they may see there are 4 items in the progress bar, they complete the first and it says 25% complete, they then complete the second activity - but this then unlocks another 12 activities, the progress bar would now show they are 12.5% complete - e.g. the progress has gone down rather than up.

Or if you use the group choice activity - them choosing a group would yield more activities to complete, and generate a similar effect.

Thanks Dave. Yes I see how that could be confusing. I think the instance that I was thinking about wouldn't have that issue as they would have access to all 'relevant' activities from the beginning. However, it would only be a selection of the activities that they would ever need to access. I've just tested it on my Sandbox site and it works as you described. Good times!

    Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with the Completion Progress Block in Moodle. The progress bar colors are missing. When I checked with the developer tools, it seems that css.php?v=4 is not being loaded correctly. I'm using IIS as the server.
Could anyone help me troubleshoot this issue?

    Thank you!

Is there anyway to enable Real-time UI updates, without requiring users to do a page refresh?

It's hard for students to see the connection between the course activities and the completion progress bar.

Is there a way to make "completion of other courses" show up in this?

If you use the subcourse plugin: https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_subcourse you can then show completion of those courses in the progress bar

We really like this plugin, however we have some schools who want to see inactive students and other schools who do not want to see them. The current setting is applicable to everyone site-wide. We are getting requests to add a filter to the Overview to show or not show inactive or suspended students. Inactive means the enrolment in this course is inactive and suspended means their user account is suspended on the site. Sometimes schools will still need to see progress for these 'old' students.
