There may come the day in a Moodle admin's life when a teacher requests to protect his course resources from unauthorized access even beyond the mechanisms which Moodle already provides and when this teacher comes up with the idea of adding a "password protection" to uploaded resources. If you had a discussion like this, this plugin is for you.

    Very well done.
Nicely written plugin, works as expected, nice documentation (you might want to fix the typo "Due to limited ressources").
We definitely want this in plugins DB asap!

This plugin was developed against Moodle 3.1 - it might work with earlier versions of Moodle, but you would have to edit the $plugin->requires line in version.php, otherwise Moodle will refuse to install it.

Alexander, thanks, great plugin. Very useful. Should be very popular.
I use it to limit students access to a chat room.

Does the password prompt appear for admins as well?

Hi and congratulations on your good work.
I have noticed though that the plugin does not appear on whole sections (the options for restricting by password is missing in editsection) while other restriction plugins (for ex by ip) appear everywhere.
    Can this be added?

    Regards,
    Lazaros

It's a great idea but is there any chance it could work with the tiles theme. It says its passworded but no ability to enter the password.

In the quiz there is an add user override command. We have difficulty when we want to enter the TOKEN simultaneously to students. There are only one input at a time. So entering the TOKEN is too long. Is there another way to make it easier?

    Dear developers,
thank you very much for this wonderful plugin for gamification. The participants have to guess a password or build it from various clues to see more course topics, activities, and resources. Is there any idea to make it work in the mobile Moodle app? The Moodle app is able to store all course content temporarily on the mobile device so participants can "play" the course without internet and without mobile data connection.

    Dear developers,
is there any idea to read the password with a qr code or bar code? For some user groups as smaller kids the password could be easier to use with a qr code. Also for gamification it could be a nice add-on to scan the qr code instead of typing a password. Yes, for this idea the plugin should work with the mobile Moodle app.
