Marta- the Learn Moodle site is using the Course request feature which admins can turn on and then people can request courses and they are given them with the role of teacher. It is standard Moodle. See the section Course request in the documentation Adding a new course

Hello Ugo and thanks for posting here. No it is not possible unfortunately to assign roles to groups with the group choice plugin. The participants retain the role they have in the course -usually the student role.

Hello Eric. According to the documentation Forum settings and the section Changing the subject line of forum notifications, there are three options you can use, but it seems you still have to use the short name.

Can you share the actual settings of the assignment, taking a screenshot of the activity completion settings as a teacher? Is this a new course or have some settings been copied from another course?
