Yes. You can either use an online powerpoint sharing site like http://www.slideshare.net/ and embed into your Moodle
or - and I think this is much better: use this free program http://www.ispringsolutions.com/products/ispring_free.html which takes your powerpoint and all its animations etc and makes them into a flash file you can play in Moodle.
Oh and - it is not a newbie question: it is an advanced and very intelligent question!smile

Ok well - I haven't looked at your SCORM file yet but I did try with the jqz format. I made a movie while I was doing it so have a look here: (If you click on the hyperlink you can see it full screen)

Bob. I have seen this link and I have not used the tutorials so perhaps this is unfair for me to comment. But I notice you have to pay for this and the layout of the site looks a lot like some of those "get rich quick" types. I am sure there are videos freely available you could use, and in the Moodle book downloads section here on this site there are books that will suit beginning teachers as well as admin who need to install it. I haven't been able to locate install/upgrade videos. (There were some great ones by a former user of this Moodle -but- er -he appears to have taken them down...) However, in terms of learning Moodle, there is this site, free: http://www.moodletutorials.org/ I also saw and followed up a great link on twitter to some free tutorials - in English - made by a German that took you through Moodle which are here: http://www.teachertrainingvideos.com/moodle1/index.html and also here: http://www.teachertrainingvideos.com/moodle2/index.html
