Hi AL

I am aware of the difference between Activity completion and getting a Grade items. I have discovered them not so long ago and already using them in a running adult training course, where we differentiate between "course completed" (from activity completion) and "course successfully completed" (from grades).

The odd behaviour is still there.

Your screen-shot is from MooTyper, right? The Workshop activity has only those curt activity completion settings in my previous post.

Only occasionally I use the tool, then it is always for a special purpose. Every time I have to start from scratch, I have the feeling.

Anyway, this is what I want to do:
- I've formed 15 pairs in a class. Each pair works together and produces a project report.

- Each pair submits the report by one of the pair attaching the file to a forum post. The name of the partner is to be mentioned in the post.

- An unmoderated, unforced discussion happens in the forum.

- At the end of this report writing and discussions phase, again one of the pair submits the (final) project report in the workshop tool by just making a text comment, again mentioning the name of the partner. If it simplify matters, I can request that the same person who submitted the report to the forum must do this too.

- On the deadline we change to the assessment mode. All those in the pairs who have submitted a project report get three other reports assigned to them.

Note that some pairs may not submitted before the deadline. They don't have to assess anything.

- Now those who have a got three project reports assigned to them, assess those reports and enter the marks in the workshop tool.

- At the end of the assessment phase the tool aggregates those marks and produce the usual two numbers per project report.

How should I set it up?

P.S. Saw this, my own, similar discussion: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=425390#p1713095. Not sure it is the same thing.

P.P.S. One more thing. The class has 40 participants. 10 haven't even built pairs. So the can not participate in the peer review. Get 0 marks.
