Emma, we are closing on - this is fun!

The groups I am looking for (to create cohorts) are located in OU=Benutzer,OU=Lernende,OU=Klassen,DC=...

The rogue groups (who give me unwanted cohorts) are:
- CN=Lehrende,OU=Lehrende,OU=Benutzer,DC=...
- CN=Lernende,OU=Andere,OU=Lernende,OU=Benutzer,DC=...

My user contexts are, as already wrote above:
- OU=Lehrende,OU=Benutzer,DC=...
- OU=Lernende,OU=Benutzer,DC=...

(I will try without OU=Lehrende resp. Lernende and come back.)

Watch out:
- 'Lehrende' and 'Lernende' are each used twice, as an OU and as a group.
- 'Lehrende' is not 'Lernende'!

May be you are aware of the disaster happening to the German language as a result of "political correctness". The ever-living https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guru%E2%80%93shishya_tradition of the solid German culture was unfortunately called "Lehrer und Schüler", expressions somehow painful for "people in high places" who can not differentiate between the grammatical gender and biological sex. The result, a tiny piece of it, we experience here.

Oh yes, the oauth_ldap | contexts? Here it is (X for masking):
ou=lehrende,ou=benutzer,dc=XX,dc=XXXXX;ou=lernende,ou=benutzer,dc=XX,dc=XXXXX
The first one is for teachers, second one pupils. Compare with the screen-shot of the main AD window.

Debug shows, that very early it gets 'Lehrende' and later 'Lehrer' as cohorts:
--------------------------------
SELECT * FROM mdl_task_scheduled WHERE classname = ?
[array (
0 => '\\local_ldap\\task\\group_sync_task',
)]
--------------------------------
SELECT * FROM mdl_user WHERE id = ? AND deleted = ?
[array (
0 => '2',
1 => 0,
)]
--------------------------------
SELECT * FROM mdl_context WHERE contextlevel = ? AND instanceid = ?
[array (
0 => 50,
1 => '1',
)]
Execute scheduled task: Synchronize cohorts from LDAP groups (local_ldap\task\group_sync_task)
--------------------------------
SELECT * FROM mdl_cohort WHERE idnumber = ?
[array (
0 => 'Lehrende',
)]
--------------------------------
...

They are definitely not the cohorts I am expecting. You say, the corresponding groups need to be in the same OUs as the users. i.e. under ou=lehrende,ou=benutzer,dc=XX,dc=XXXXX for teachers and ou=lernende,ou=benutzer,dc=XX,dc=XXXXX for pupils?

The ou=Klassen is highly suspicious to me. I will check with the AD administrators.

Sorry, I didn't see your post earlier.

When you changed your site from HTTP to HTTPS you should have run a search for http://example.com and replaced with https://example.com. Then a second round for img tags is unnecessary.

I know, these thing are not directly Moodle-related. But they remind me the euphory we had on moodle.org forums. Going there voluntarily is one thing, sending minors, sometimes young kids, is irresponsible.
