I discovered STACK only recently after wasting time on various "half-mathematical" plug-ins. STACK does true formal algebra! Just to think that a senior academic created and maintain it swimming against the management is a crime!

MoodleBox is thought to be a (headless) server. So the command line access is from a (network) terminal through SSH. See https://moodlebox.net/en/help/command-line-connection/. But if there is a console connected to it, of course you should be able to login on the console. The credentials are documented on the page above.

Both can't be true at the same time. What was the "command-line sendmail"? Something like this?

P.S. I don't think the cause of you problem is not the same as OP. Suggest the moderator to split it.

Or, do it yourself following https://docs.moodle.org/en/Moodle_migration. This method is closely related to https://docs.moodle.org/en/Site_backup and https://docs.moodle.org/en/Site_restore. (Replace /38/ with your target version.)

Has nobody mentioned the Announcements forum on the front page, the so called "Site news" - Site administration > Front page settings > (frontpage) and (frontpagelogin)?
