Hi Alain,

In Moodle-speak, students are enrolled in Courses. Inside Courses, teachers can provide various Activities (Forums, Quizzes, Lessons... - as Mary explains, they're available in a dropdown menu) and Resources (PDF documents, videos, audio recordings, links to Internet pages...)

On the Moodle page, the Course can be subdivided into Sections (Topics or Weeks). Each Section can have a number of Activities and Resources.

Maybe Section corresponds to what you think of as a lesson.tankefuld

Here is an example of a 15-week course in which each Section represents one week's work for the students. Sorry, no Lessons (Moodle sense) - I prefer to use QuizPort.

Cheers,

Glenys

Oh dear Mary, once again I wasn't precise enough. klovn I just meant about http://docs.moodle.org/20/en/File_system_repository_configuration.

When I look at the History it seems to me your name appears frequently and before you started in there weren't all those neat screenshots (there was just one). They really make things easy to understand for non techies like me. If I'm attributing to you work actually done by those other nice people: Tim, Derek, Chris, Helen, Tomaz, Colin... I abjectly apologise to them.

Cheers,

Glenys
