Hi Michael,
That's strange, I have checked and I never use the Allow Students Review in my moodle lessons, but I'm still getting the ""You have seen more than one page of this lesson already. Do you want to start at the last page you saw?". feature for the students.
Actually, the numerous settings in the Lesson module are interacting with each other in so many different ways that I'm not sure anyone really understands how it all works in the end.

PS.- Unfortunately I'm not sure the Lesson module will be any better in Moodle 2.0, since apparently no-one is really working on fixing the bugs that are current. There is a long list of reported bugs in the tracker...

Well, that's exactly what it does for me.

And may I ask why your students will quit a lesson before they have reached the end? When they quit a lesson, do they work on a different part of their moodle course? on another course on your moodle site? Do they log out? In short, you would really have to note down everything they do before they resume in order to understand why they are not offered the possibility as stated in "You have seen more than one page of this lesson already. Do you want to start at the last page you saw?". Again, it does work as expected on my moodle sites, so something different must be happening on your site, or in your Lesson settings.

If you have a "dummy student account" on your moodle site, log in as that student, experiment with all kind of scenarios and maybe you'll find out what happens.

This should not happen. The problem may be due to the way that the students "quit" a lesson before the end. How do they do it?

Anyway the exact message is not "... more than one slide" but:

You have seen more than one page of this lesson already. Do you want to start at the last page you saw?

Are you sure it says "slide" ? What are your lesson settings?

Very easy, use Administration/Reports/Participation report etc. see attached screenshot.
Please note, however, that you'll have to display the report for each Lesson in your course.

Did you select "case sensitive" and "match whole words only"?
