Mary,

You do not say how many pairs you are asking your students to match in each question. If you have a significant number of pairs (say between 4 and 10) and since you are not interested in grading the activity, you might consider using the HotPots module instead of Quiz. The JMatch activity in HotPots would be especially useful if you want to match pictures with words, as I expect is the case with your anatomy course.

See this online example: Anterior Rib Cage and Shoulder.

Hi Mary,

I am pretty sure the behavior of the matching quiz question has not changed since last year (but Tim will confirm).

In adaptive mode, as you say, the only feedback the student gets is "Incorrect", "Partially correct" or "Correct". I expect the rationale here is that it would be too easy if the feedback showed which pairs are correct (as it does when Adaptative mode is OFF). On the other hand, especially if you have to match a large number of pairs, this lack of individual feedback on the pairs can lead to a lot of frustration.

It would be a desirable feature to have this "general" vs "individual" feedback as a settings option on the matching question editing screen. Tim?

Hi Beto,

1.- The automatic glossary linking feature does not pertain to the Questionnaire module itself. It is a site-wide setting which you enable or disable in admin settings.
If the name of your questionnaire generates an autolink, this is because you have turned Administration / Modules / Filters / Manage filters / Filter all strings ON.

2.- If you want to prevent the autolink feature when you are typing (or pasting) text in moodle's HTML editor (everywhere on your moodle site), not just in the Questionnaire module), select the text and click the "Prevent automatic linking" button on the second line of the HTML toolbar.
