I had volunteered a proposal, not a dogmatic change.
"It is not necessary to make a new forum for this'
You passed the FINAL judgement. probably YOU are the person who decides how moodle.org should run
On one hand you say ''....nor should it should be one person's perogative to decide whether a suggestion is worthwhile or not to be submitted to the bug tracker''
...........and then you say..........
''.....once someone decides it is worthwhile pursuing, it is put in the tracker''
Are you confused or are you confused.
I agree, people are not stupid. At least most aren't.
Moreover whoever talked about revolutions and dictatorships.
I think you've got a bee in your bonnet Hansen and therefore it'd be illogical to expect a balanced view from you. I am myself a busy man and offered to help only because I thought Moodle has given me so much, let me try to give back something in my own little way.
Anyway, since you say ''....nor should it should be one person's perogative to decide whether a suggestion is worthwhile or not''....... I'll assume that it's not your prerogative (and not perogative) either to shoot down whatever i have said and anyway, i fully agree with you that ''....Moodle is not a dictatorship''.
So Nobody, Nobody should dictate.

you cant add quiz to lesson...they are different modules
i think you have difficulty in adding questions to quiz....is that right?

I import questions in gift format in lessons e.g.(question is this? {~a ~b ~c ~d =e ~f ~g ~h}
All my questions are multi-choice with only one correct but 7-8 incorrect options.
I want that whether the students mark it right or wrong, he should 'jump' to next question anyway, since i don't want them to review.
PROBLEM: all incorect answers have 'jump to' as 'this page' by default; but i want it to be 'next page'.
Manually doing this 7 times for each of 350 questions means.....i will be the next guy in asylum.
solution sought: is there a way where when i import gift format questions, the wrong answers should have the 'jump to' as 'next page' by default?

Methinks it has more to do with the structure of lessons rather than the questions in it. The lesson has been designed to follow pathways(decision making) and thus it's usually 1 question/page (how will it decide if there were 17 questions on one page and each is a different 'type' and may or may not be gradable(essay) ?)
i usually like to take the student to next difficult ques if he answers the present one right or take him to an easier one if he answers this wrong. So lesson caters for this.
For more questions/page, quiz is ideal.
But i do agree, what u say is desirable.but suggets how to develop the algorithm
