Hi

The problem is as follows:

As an admin, i can create a certificate and when i ask it to give me a certificate, i get a lovely looking pdf cert.

But when my users (students) complete their test, and try to generate it, they get a blank page (http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=126308)

Now Busch has mentioned 2 possibilities
1. lib.php is corrupt
2. fpdf error

The issue is that if i can print it as admin, then fpdf error is not existing
its just that the ordinary user is unable to generate it

(I am not admin of server but its commercially hosted. i have asked the admins if they can replace the lib.php for me. but most likely they will refuse.)

Anyone can give a solution?

Moodle in English -> Installing and upgrading help -> Maintenance mode blues

Dr S Bhatia -
Hello

I was hosting a full blown moodle
Then i had to migrate the site
I put the site in maintenance mode
Next day when i try to log in, i cant login (I am admin)
I get this message (see attached screenshot)
(Your session has timed out. Please login Again)

So i decide to take backup of the whole website thru ftp
I copy moodledata folder to the new site and ask the server owners to import my database which they do.

Now if i rename the moodledata folder to something else, and keep a blank moodledata folder, the site works fine but the files which we uploaded are missing. And if i keep my original moodledata folder intact, the new site also appears in maintence mode.

WORSE, since i am in as admin now, i cannot disable maintenance mode. When i click on thd disable button, it says, maintenance mode is disabled and when i click 'continue', it simply says again that site is in maintenance mode.

What should i do???

Moodle in English -> Backup and restore -> PArtial backups

Helllo

I have 13 courses on my Moodle
Every nite the backups run automatedly
the backup for every course is saved in its own files from where, we download it every morning on our local disk
for some reason, this backup does not work for 2 courses out of 13
11 courses backup is working perfectly, in 2 it doesn't happen
even if it happens, and i try to download the zip file of backup, the downloader fails to download saying 'file size mismatch'
Can anyone throw some light please...
I am a seasoned user otherwise but unable to grasp this issue

I am using a very recent installation (15 days back)Moodle 1.9.4 (Build: 20090128)

Hello John

I get your point. Thanks for pointing out.thoughtful
But there was a certain workaround which we had done in a forum thread about a year ago (JR, was also involved and so was the guy whose thread had lead to opening up of social lounge(teacher showing nude paintings in museum) and you had that smiling foto instead of the banished 12th root as now wink)

I don't remember the conclusion but if the initiator of this thread is interested, it'd be worth the search
