Is it possible to make the editor language aware?

I want the default editor language and direction (rtl/ltr) to be set by the user default language.

It should work that way in the latest versions of moodle - just checked moodle 1.8.4. What version of moodle do you have?

I would like to have this feature too. Perhaps it is possible to include it in the language package or in "Administration -> Language -> Language editing", so one can select the appropriate words in the language?

ltr/rtl support is a different thing but in my moodle also editor language editing feature is already there: file editor.php
