I am in the process of working with my Version 1.8 moodle site to divide access between course categories.
I want a role to be assigned when the new student creates an account. This role would grant the student access to one category of courses while blocking them from the other course categories.
Can this be done? Or do I need to be notified the student has created the account and manually assign the Course Category role after they've created their account?
