Hi:
I'm trying to figure out if I can capture images that students have uploaded to a forum of their artwork to use on our website.
Is it possible for me to extract and export them somehow? I want to be able to download them to my computer so I can use 'em as jpgs.
Thanks for any brilliant advice anyone is willing to share!
All the best,
Leigh

I assume you are looking for an automated method, over and above right clicking on each JPG in the forum and saving to disc?
I'm not sure how one might achieve that programatically (ie. click a link that zips all forum attachments and downloads them), but a backup of the forum (including user data) should contain a copy of the images.
Or, if you have access, you could collect them from the moodledata folder directly.
eg.
\moodledata\courseid\moddata\forum\...

Thanks, David!
Am having a serious d'oh! moment -- I've just recently started using Safari and was too stupid to figure out what it demanded to save an image...finally did (that pesky control key) and it works just fine.
But I will keep your wise words re: a more systematic collection, as this will be helpful in the future.
Thanks so much; appreciate the assistance!
