I've had no luck using email with Moodle. Both after a new user registers and when trying to have Moodle email my password failed.
I'm guessing it's some sort of config error, but in which config file?
Could someone help out with this?

Are you using Linux? In this case you should chek if your sendmail server is running or, if you are using anothere mail delivery system, if it is properly configured.
