A better wiki editor?

A better wiki editor?

Hi,

I've had some success integrating s5 presentations into our local mediawiki installation. After some boasting and showing off, our moodle people are interested, and I've hacked the ewiki code a little to add a 'view as slideshow' button to ewiki pages, which takes the wikitext and converts it to an s5 slideshow.

I'd really like to get this off the ground, it provides a simple way for groups of students to collaborate on creating presentations, gets away from needing powerpoint, and pushes users towards focusing on content rather than form.

HOWEVER, the default wysiwyg editor is not really appropriate for this, as it is slanted towards html rather than wikitext, and our moodle people rightly think wikitext is something of a barrier to non-tech people using it.

I'd like to use wikiwyg, but I'm a bit lost as to where is the right place to cause the appropriate javascript to be loaded.

Can anyone give me some hints? Or set me right as to why this is a bad idea?
