Colleagues at my College are building a quiz in Moodle which will provide a multiple choice answer and want to hide the result from the user when it is finished. The quiz is an assessment screener and an meeting will be arranged with the student to disclose results. How can I hide the score result from the screen which is shown on completion?

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is that you can determine this when you first set up the quiz. I think the attached screen capture will helpful.
