Is there any way to subscribe to a Discussion Topic/Thread only, and not a whole forum. It would be a great idea so I don't get bombarded with 1 trillion emails (really) about other topics I am not interested in. Does this happen in Moodle 1.6?
No, not as far as I am aware. It is a popular feature request.

Tim, I can't tell you how much I too want this feature. What can we do to get such a thing going? I would even pay!
Seriously!! I've subscribed to 2 Moodle forums and I got 450 email in just a few weeks!
If someone comes up w/a fix proposal, I'll vote for it
