downloading moodle

I am persistent.

Now, 30 mins later, still trying to download Moodle, I have tried to explore the  Debian route, but realise this is not for Windows users, having downloaded it and lost what was downloaded, ..... Windows didn't recognise the root.

So, I'm back again using Windows XP. Martin I wish your words of "download it in minutes were true".

Basic users may need even more steps for downloading - what about giving 2 levels of instructions one lot for ig's like me and another for folks like you guys.

What happens to downloads that don't get opened? Are they filling up space?

I need a patient hand, please.

Hi Allyson,

I will try to help you. At first, is on your Pc an Unzip programm installed? (Winrar or unzip or an other one)?

Download the zip-package. (right click on the file and save on your PC.

Go to your Explorer and unpack the file with unzip or an other packingprogramm.

Say ok when you've done this.

An other question, where do you want to install moodle? On a Internet Server or an your local PC?
More Question für Internet Server: is there a MYSQL database?
More question für your installation on your local PC: Is there an localhost server installed (e.g. easyphp)? If not you must install this on your PC first.
